Thought last night if my mind wondered again, the way I am going to distract it is run round the block, so every time it gets bad I can associate that with running, never know may lose a few pounds in the process

Not only will it distract your mind but it will also cause your body to release endorphins into your system which produce a positive "feel good" reaction. Endorphins help to reduce stress, ward off anxiety and feelings of depression, boost self-esteem, and improve sleep.
