Prayer request needed!
My dear SR family, one of my childhood friends took some kind of synthetic fentanyl (no one really knows why he did this as he doesn't take opiates!) and has been in a coma since he was found on Saturday. I am sending out requests for Jeff's recovery and health and well being. Please add him to an urgent prayer today. they are still in the waiting mode in terms of what brain activity he has.
I HATE DRUGS!!!! We believe he might have thought it was a painkiller and he has been in severe shoulder pain for a few months, but the entire situation is very odd.

Thank you all. He is still in a coma and the EEG shows very little brain activity. His family is making the very difficult choice to take him off of life support. I believe they are going to do this today. My prayers and love and hopes for his kids and his wife's peace in knowing that God is with Jeff and always will be.

Why us? When do we get a break from the nasty disease of addiction? How many more will die? Friends, family and strangers, addiction doesn't care.

Addiction truly is a family disease and doesn't care who it hurts or kills. Each time someone dies my heart hurts for all who loved the deceased.

Thank you all. Jeff passed away on July 27, 2017. His family had a celebration of life on Saturday. He leaves behind his three children and wife. He was a very unique individual who could light up a room with his personality. I love you buddy. RIP.

I have experience with Fentanyl and even not abusing it I overdosed. I went into the hot tub and it released from the heat. My son was in that hot tub and it could have been a disaster. I emptied it the next day because of my fear. I'm sure there is a place for this drug but it's dangerous
