Through all the years, the programs, the advice, the books, the counseling, the insight, the rehabs, the medications and the theories....

There are just THREE simple things that are the foundation of sobriety - and of a blessed life;

1 - CHOOSE sobriety (and in so doing we choose freedom from drugs and alcohol's grip, we choose depth of life and richness of experience. We choose presence and integrity and reliability and honesty and goodness for our days of existence on this plane. We choose to make our lives everything we can.....)

2 - ACT - regardless of what specific actions are the ones that work for you.... action is key. A choice not acted upon is merely a wish. A dream. A fantasy. Sobriety is action in support of our choice - above all else.

3 - REPEAT - the first two things have to be done over and over again. In this world filled with LIFE, with stress and emotions and activity and commitment... in this world full of booze, social acceptance, drugs, escapism, seemingly 'normalized' addictive response to living; we must Choose and then Act each day anew.

There are a lot of different paths. We each have our own unique experience and story. But at the core of it all if we want to get sober and live a rich, abundant life of presence.....

Then we simply.....

CHOOSE, ACT, REPEAT.
