Not promised
I have become pretty simplistic in My desires trying to focus on what I can give to life today. "It is better to console than be consoled, to love as to be loved, to understand as to be understood. It is in giving that we receive." This are the tenets I strive for today.

Yep, ditto.
I was just talking to my fiance and said (as I do often) that I would wish my life in sobriety on anyone and everyone. It is full, fun, peaceful, equipped with problem solving skills and support , and acceptance.

im with Fly N Buy on this. my life is more about what i can give than get. by giving, i get a LOT.
what life means to me to day is live in today. keep my eyes open and see if i can help someone else throughout my day.
HOWEVER
im not mr super spritual perfect human. im just human. i get times of self pity, self centeredness and all that stuff that doesnt feel good any more.

My focus is spending time with people I love and doing things that I authentically enjoy. When I sat down to really analyse my drinking patterns, I found that the main triggers were related to escapism - from stress, boredom, listlessness - and that the best way to address this was to invest energy in the people and activities that provide that organic feeling of pleasure, happiness and meaningfulness, so that I won't have to supplement my life with alcohol to try and mask occasions, my job or relationships when the truth is I simply don't enjoy them!
Sobriety is making me re-evaluate the things I truly want from life, and identifying the means to chasing those things, as well as gaining clarity around the things that make me unhappy, so that I can work towards purging them from my life! :-)
