Whatever it takes
Hard to gauge what that is because everyone's situation is different.
I've mentioned many times in meetings that I have to do whatever I believe to stay sober and maintain my spiritual condition to the best of my ability. I try to make sure that I keep my Higher power first and a line connected to AA daily one way or another.
I've seen posts about people apprehensive about meetings, rehab, counselling, etc.
I would say that if things aren't getting better for you you should at least give these avenues a shot. It's extremely difficult to do this alone (I've tried several times).
I pray quite often for the people that are still suffering from addiction because I (and us all) sincerely understand how devastating it can be to one's life.
Leave your "lifelines" open and get the help you need to whatever extent is necessary. It could safe your life and in turn you can safe others.
Take care everyone.

Agreed!
I was resistant to everyyyyything....til I decided to stop. I railed against AA most, and now, it is the shape of my worldview in conjunction with my faith.
"You will come to know freedom and a new peace" (para BB 4th ed) - so true in my life. I have a program to turn to and new habits to use to deal with....LIFE.
I'd wish my life in sobriety on anyone.
