Chilled, being a hardcore hater of the word "normal", I'd say that it's not uncommon in recovery. It's not uncommon for human beings in general either. It is especially true for modern society where emotions are suppressed to keep a successful facade. After long time of being pushed down (including alcohol abuse) they go rogue.
Chill out. Focus on your "stay sober whatever happens" plan.

i KNOW the thoughts in my head dont make sense so its not like i have psychosis or anything but i have a WILD imagination , mix that with anxiety and my mind will just go in directions that are just WEIRD!
Anyone else get bizarre thoughts?

welp, if your psychotherapist told ya the thoughts are normal, its probably from experience. your probably not the only one the therapist has seen with the same thing.

Ah, I am disappointed)
It's not bizarre. You are just getting older)
Seriously, the reality holds way too more questions than answers, and questioning the world we live in is a good thing. Not having thoughts is a cause for worries, not the other way around.

One thing which never fails to ground my wild imagination is working out.
Nothing clears head better than sweating in a gym.
Helps with age-reversing too)

Therapist says i have too much head space going on and that i have creative intellect which is not being put to good use hence the crazy anxiety provoking thoughts.
I am amazed she said i have intellect

Sounds like it's time to put your creative intellect to better use than anxiety.
Have your read "Choose yourself" by James Altucher?
Great book and will have you some ideas how to get your creativity going.
He suffered from depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts - so, kind of a soul mate to us.
