Help! Massive Cravings

Hi all,

nearly 4 months sober now, and things have not been too bad on the craving front. Until WHAM, today. Nothing in particular has happened. I am a bit more stressed than usual (!), but I am sitting here waiting for dinner to cook and I am so desperate for a drink, it is frightening.

Help!

Bim,
Make yourself a nice non alcholic drink, coffee, ice tea, whatever. It's just a craving, it's your AV trying to beat you. Recognize it as only that. Maybe read one of your old posts. That helped me In the past. You can do it, you are strong my friend.

Have some chocolate or ice cream to help with the craving.

You can get through this!

A bit better now thanks. I'm supposed to be going to meet up with work colleagues at the pub later to meet the new guy. If I do still go, it will be a quick in and out. I'm not going to be hanging around.

Chocolate definitely helps me - especially galaxy chocolate.

Went to my first AA meeting last night - after a false start a few weeks ago. Really glad I did. AV put back in its box. Thank you all.
