Im sorry to hear this. I am a quiet kind of person in my home.

Are you able to tell these people to leave?

Maybe you can sneak off and find a quiet place in your home, or get out for a quick walk. Take care of yourself.

Ugggghhh! This fellow introvert knows how you feel! I like my house to be quiet as a mouse. Unless, of course, there is good music to be played - then it gets loud up in here! Hope you get some peace soon.

Technically not my house, due to my 'condition' I have been forced to stay with my parents, it's a long story.

My brother and his girlfriend turned up, they will be here until midnight, he KNOWS how ill I am and how frail I have become.

You show up to my house un-announced, grounds for being thrown out. I've done it. Very liberating.

You just can't show up at people's house on a holiday! Geez

I've said the Serenity Prayer a many
a times to help calm me down and it
never fails. I'll say it over and over
and over again until whatever I'm
going thru passes.

It doesn't make folks disappear but it
does help me go to a place of peace
in knowing I'm not alone in that time
of despair.

I hope this helps.

God grant me the Serenity to
accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
and Wisdom to know the difference.

Sorry chill, our posts crossed. Now I see your predicament. Can you leave and go somewhere nice and quite?

It's ok now, they left. I'm just in a very fragile state right now so can't take lots of noise etc, maybe that's normal in early recovery?

invasion of space can be unsettling. we have a house rule that no one gets to just "drop by" without prior arrangement of the visit. i get super cranky. i''m glad they left and you have some peace now.
