Summer drinks

Hi,

I noticed a lot of talk going on here recently, as the weather changes for the summer here in the Northern Hemisphere, about the chilled glass of white wine, or the ice cold beer being missed over a hot summer afternoon with friends and family, and so on and so forth...

For me, the first sip from that image would lead to a place we all know too well. Dark, cold, full of regret and fury...

As such, I refuse to acknowledge that image, that beer commercial, you know, with a bunch of young, well adjusted, cool & good looking people having a blast, over a bucket full of iced beers or a table of chilled wine glasses. In my opinion, actually better said, in my world, this simply doesn't exist. For me, part two of that commercial would have those people yelling, hurling, throwing things, throwing up, passing out, waking up to hell, screaming obscenities and more..

So, here are a couple of links that show you how to make great, chilled, cold drinks, tasting oooooh, so yummy, full of flavor and wonderful smells, and they are all natural, and guess what, have zero alcohol in them: -Sorry, had to remove the www's because apparently I can't post links yet

Scroll through, pick your favorite and go crazy. Better yet, go for a nice high-power walk, burn some calories, get those endorphins pumping and then settle in a nice lounge chair to enjoy a well earned smooth sparkling pear punch!

Ready to hear about which one's whose favorite..

Day 54 today.

Love to you all, big big love. SR = Sobriety Rocks!!!

T.

I'm sorry...but...this just made me visualize my friends and I in a 'drinking commercial'...Oh God! What a "don't do this folks!" PSA that would be!

Congratulations on your sobriety and thanks for the post, T.
Tropicana has brought out some blended lemonades recently.
Tangerine lemonade is yummy!
Prob has tons of sugar, but it's very good.

So true! It's like "playing the tape through" for the people in those commercials.

Congratulations on 54 days! So good.

I've found a new drink I like a lot: tart cherry juice (or just orange juice) with vanilla seltzer. Yum.

I think part of what I liked about wine was the tart/vinegary taste. But now I'm drinking something similar/better that is actually good for me!

(I also sometimes eat a vitamin gummy when I have a craving. It's consciously deciding to ingest something good for me instead of poison.)

Happy and healthy 4th!

Love vitamin gummies.
I do the oj and seltzer thing too.
Oddly, I found that after I stopped drinking that I really didnt like wine very much.
We were bottle a night drinkers, though my beverage of choice was bourbon.
Glad to off that crazy train.

Tankersfull, bookmarked a couple of these to go back to. Thanks for posting them! It's perfect timing for me as I need something else to drink while some (drinking) friends are staying with us.

The hard part will be figuring out which one to try first!
