Go away cravings overwhelming

One week this time around. Have bad cravings especially in the evenings. Scared of them. Have them even after attending a meeting. Have achieved reasonable periods of sobriety before but scared I can't achieve that again. I pray I phone my sponsor. I know this sounds silly but what if they don't go this time. It's exhausting how the av tries different ways of telling me it's a good plan to pick up. I don't want to!!!! Go away !!!!

The real you doesn't want to that's the main thing! Your AV is a conman a trickster, and you can beat him. It can be tough, especially in the evenings, so distract yourself, change routines etc whatever works for you. Each day you're getting stronger, and little by little you'll starve that little voice into silence

You are in good company Hedd. Doctor Bob himself suffered from this for quite a while, but was able to win through, much to our benefit. It will pass if you do what you feel needs to be done, which might be different from what you want to do.

Thank you both for your replies. Yes I'm making plans that include once the little one is in bed at 6 I can't go to she shop. They are v tiring. Got a meeting tonight until 9.30 got a babysitter in. Love my meetings feel calm and connected. Can't do as much as I want but iv got this forum also. Indeed it's very powerful n makes me v poorly in my head every time I go into the ring with it again. Just hate the av thanks x

Cravings don't have to be acted on.

Hedd,

It gets better and better.

I had annoying paranoia for over a year. It faded steadily thoug. I could feel it getting weaker.

As it faded the first thing my av says is....let's celebrate. All the time.

It fades after a while and I feel amazing for beating it for the thousandth time.

Stay clean.

Thanks.

One of my favorite truisms "God never sends us more than we can handle in one day" He will give you the power you need if you ask.
