Hi and welcome Lindsay
You find a ton of support and understanding here.

I was lost and not really sure I could be sober when I came here 10 years ago but SR helped me turn my life around.

I know we can help you too

D

Hi Lindsay,
Welcome you will find a ton of support on this site. I know it has helped me stay away from alcohol for close to 8 months now.
Before November last year I couldn't string 2 sober days together. I also sought inpatient treatment which gave me the kick up the butt I so desperately needed to start my journey of being happy and actually living a great life without the poison.
Post often and read around. It really does help.

Hi Lindsay, I'm new here also. I'm finding it very calming to read and think about things here. You are with people that know exactly how you feel. I hope you stick around.

Welcome Maudcat. It's very brace to admit that you may have a problem, and a great start. Look around and keep posting, there is a lot of help and support here (and plenty of other mums, hello! ).

Hello and welcome.
I did have a problem with drink. It took me a long time to admit it to anyone, so you've already made the first step of admitting you may have a problem.
Now it's time for action. That can come in many forms. coming here is a great start, you'll find lots f support here.
Best to you.

Welcome, Lindsay! It's brave of you to admit you have a problem with drink. There is not a single thing in life that alcohol cannot make worse and nothing that it can make better. You have found an excellent place for advice and support; with the help of this forum and a good recovery plan I now have 18 months of sobriety. I hope you start your sober journey. I am older than you and believe me, things do not get better if you continue to drink; they only deteriorate, so don't wait for a total disaster to happen. Wishing you the best and hoping you stick around!
