77 days today the most I've had in along time . I feel pretty good . I go to the gym everyday now before work what a big difference that makes and eating healthy makes. Everything's has been better without alcohol . I really don't even think about it anymore . I like the life i live now with out it. My fathers a raging alcoholic and I recently cut him out of my life for now . I feel bad but he's a bad influence and never has anything good to say and the only person that he cares about is himself . Fathers day is tomorrow so I'm not sure if I should call or not call...he hasn't been much of a father to me so still thinking about that one.

My work has improved as well I actually care more now and I am doing very well that others are noticing which is a good feeling . I would love to go back to school soon for higher education and get out of construction . its deffiently taking a toll on my body.

Hey - 77 days!!!! Amazing!! Shame about your father, but you have to take care of yourself. I hope he will take your lead at some point :-)

Re: higher education, why not! Do it. Construction is an amazing skill (I say this as someone whose experience is literally habitat for humanity for one week and let me tell you... Nope) but I say go for it. It's an enriching experience and you most certainly deserve it!!

Fathers Day: If calling or engaging will cause emotional or mental distress then take care of yourself and just dont go there. You do not have to do anything that will make you feel uncomfortable.

School: DO IT! Get your learning on! You can only benefit from an education.

Congrats! I understand what you are going through with your father. My father's an alcoholic too with very few nice things to say (but plenty of hurtful things). I keep distance and boundaries. Finding a good ACA group has been helpful. You're doing great. Embrace and be proud of that

Thanks everyone ! Yea the father things tough but I'm pretty sick of the way he is . dosent so anything for my son and dosent care to and that hurts his feelings .
