time passes

My father died and is now living in the hell he created. My mother didn't die, she passed away. She passed onto a better place. She always enjoyed traveling so I'm sure she is doing that now. Hopefully, I can eventually join her in her travels. On the wings of a dove ma. John

I am so glad that you have good memories of your sweet mother, John.

Possibly the worst part of being a victim of cruelty is how it can taint how we feel about ourselves. Healing is learning to love ourselves for maybe the first time. I wish this for you, John.

In the end, I feel lucky. I feel stronger for the abuse I went through and the empathy and compassion I have for others because of my mother. Not a bad combination. John

And you are a very good man, John, despite the abuse of your youth.

Love and goodness won!

Not a bad combination at all! I think I made an assumption based on my experience of cruelty by my mother, John. I still deal with a lot of self disgust. Never good enough stuff. This has fueled my addictions. Sobriety helps me heal and learn to truly be close to others. I'm still learning

(((((Inch))))

Hope you can put that emotion aside for good.

I think that you are pretty darn wonderful, my friend.
