Week 3 and starting to feel normal
Week 3 and starting to feel normal
Hi everyone,
I've made it through my second week without alcohol and I'm starting to feel so much better. Today was my first Saturday I can remember in so long where I was up at 8am and really had a FULL day.
I spent the day visiting family and we wound up going to a casino. I was worried this was going to be a really difficult experience but I was happy to stick with coffee and diet coke and really had a great time.
Thanks to everyone for all the support. Coming here every day and reading all of your stories has made this process so much easier and less isolating. I hope you are all having a great weekend.

So glad to hear this, DJ! You'll find yourself in a lot of potentially dangerous situations that are normally accompanied by drinking. It's in a casino, a bar, the corner shop. But as long as you stay strong while admitting when you don't feel strong, you can do it!! Also surrounding yourself with good people who have your best interests at heart. At the end of the day though, it's your accomplishment!! Congratulations!
