5 months
5 months sober as of June 1. Had a long weekend camping in the mountains. No phone service, a tent, sleeping bag, and my thoughts. I took a hike 10miles to a waterfall and spent some time at the top reading the big book! What an experience being sober and enjoying nature and being present to experience it fully. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did because the only times I went camping alcohol was a HUGE part of those trips.
On that mountain I read a big book quote
" we have found much of heaven and we have been racketed into a fourth dimension of existence of which we had not even dreamed."
That quote hit me hard, I am sober and this life is great!!
