Steps

I don't remember if I mentioned it on here or not but I have completed the 12 steps! For the first time ever. Now I know they are never really completed and I am working on step 9 probably all my life with step 10-12 being daily maintenance steps but I can say for the first time ever I have worked them all and had a spiritual awakening. The promises are true and this is real stuff. Everyone deserves to be happy, joyous and free so if your struggling, lurking, feeling hopeless, etc please reach out. There are thousands of people right here alone waiting to help and support you. Together WE can do this!

Good job Steve. Welcome to the fellowship of the spirit.

It took me a long time before the last of step nine was dealt with, a matter of circumstances, but I think, of all the steps, step seven has been and still is a work in progress. God removed some of my defects, some against my will, but he also left some which He seems to use to teach me things. Being a slow learner, it could be a while before I can say He got them all. Step ten and eleven as and when required, all day long, any time or place. Step twelve, whenever the opportunity arises. It works, it really does.

I had two spiritual experiences while completing the steps which I talked about in previous threads. As for the awakening. Once I was done I realized I never have to drink again and have a wonderful peace. I understand I am no longer in control and pray to my hp to have me do his will and guide me. I know that under ANY circumstances I will not ever drink again and I am ok with that. My life has meaning and is purposeful. I want to carry the message and help those that are still suffering. God is really doing for me what I could not do for myself.
