I'm working in a new site tonight, training some new people.
One guy who was leaving an hour after I started just came up chatting like we were best friends (never met him before) and offered to share some wine with me...at work.
I guess he was hitting on me, but I'm not into men anyway haha

Firstly, was this some kinda work based sting to catch people out? (hardly subtle)
Secondly, it was pretty easy to turn him down.
I mean, I AM at work and I ain't saying I have never drank at work just I didn't want to.

Although the situation is fully weird, I am proud of myself for saying no.

There are tastings and samplings happening all the time at work. Even when I was actively drinking, I never sampled. It has been offered and I declined. It will be offered in the future and I will say "No, Thank You"

Yeah. They offer me weed, ask me to go to bars, offer me pills. I work in the blue collar trade, and they all drink and drug. Or as least most of them do.

Good for you for saying no! I fell into that trap not too long ago because I was desperate for no one else to suspect I was an alcoholic. Had me reeling... Great job on declining!
