You are not stupid. But you are addicted. Are you treating it accordingly?

youre not stupid. youre sick.

you probably keep doing it because you have untreated alcoholism.

do ya want to treat it?
do you want to stop drinking?
are you willing to do whatever is necessary to stop drinking?

i see you were last here in 2015 - glad you came back!

you aren't stupid. but your thinking IS messed up. alcohol makes you ill in a way that makes it seem that the BEST idea is to have MORE. trying not to do that takes some serious gumption.

you don't ever have to have another hangover. but you will need to be willing to do whatever it takes to stay sober.

You are not stupid. You just need to quit drinking. This is a great place to start; lots of wonderful people who are always supportive.
Don't over think it; just take it one day at a time.

Welcome back Toni
I think it gets down to how much we're willing to change?

Have you thought about a recovery plan?

Hey Toni,
You have to really not want to drink. Make a plan and stick to it no matter what. I tried so many times but when you really want to be sober you will. You can do it

I think it's better phrased as 'I need to find better ways to cope and deal with life than drinking'.

If your only tool for coping is drinking, then that what you're going to do.

Think about some other ways you can deal with bad days disappointments, feeling good...

thats the start of a recovery plan
