First 30 days in so long
First 30 days in so long
Hi guys!
I'm thrilled to share that I have made it to 30 days booze free today. It's been so long since I've even come close. The Antabuse has been very helpful in giving me some mental space to calmly analyze and deal with my cravings (knowing that drinking is not physically possible).
I'm still working on developing a life as a non drinker and that's been fun and confusing at times. Honestly, my AV has popped up lately talking to me about the possibility of drinking after 90 days. Sigh. I really wish that guy would go away, haha.
Anyhoo, thanks to all of you and here's to day 31!
Xoxo,
Erica

Congratulations.
I'm using Antabuse and have found it a great tool for getting some serious sober time in to get past the really rough period at the beginning and gain some perspective. I'm at nearly four months and can't believe how the obsession with drink has abated (for now at least).
I'm sure it's completely normal for your AV adjust to the introduction of Antabuse and try to use it to its advantage. I know my AV was considering using Antabuse for 6 months on and 6 months off at the beginning, but that's just the kind of crazy plan an addiction would come up with,,,
