addiction sucks, PTSD sucks- both together is a monster. Can you get vet- care? In Australia there is something like that. Also perhaps see your doctor- go to meetings. Aussie vets go to some of the meetings I go to and they find them helpful.

I hope that wherever you come from they take care of their Vets and you can get some help in dealing with your PTSD.
You may be able to get some help with your drinking too - never hurts to check out everything you might be entitled to.
You;'ll find a ton of support and understanding here too., My advice is to post as much as you want, read around, see what others are doing to stay sober...
find a way that make sense to you...and go for it

I'm a vet, but I saw no direct combat.
The USAF does provides help, but there is a price to pay.
Once diagnosed as an alky, the career is over. Vet Dr.s are underpaid so obviously not the best.
I hear they offer couselling and meds.
This place is all i use for my therepy.
It has worked for me.
Keep reading and posting.
