Sorry...but somewhat hopeful

Well...I didn't make it, and went off the rails last night. Today I decided to check myself into the hospital in hopes of getting into an inpatient facility. I just know that I can't so this on my own, and have been too proud in the past to ever consider this as an option. But something has give, and it will only lead to more destruction if I don't do something drastic. I am scared, but somewhat hopefull.

Hang in there badger...great plan of action! The way I look at it is...it doesn't matter what method of recovery we use, or the steps that we take, as long as we get to our final destination; peace-tranquility-happiness.

We're all root'in for ya!

Inpatient would be fantastic, badger. So very proud of you for wanting to take that step.

Finally admitting we are powerless over alcohol is the first step down the road to ending the madness. Going into inpatient rehab would be a great thing, props!

Hopefully inpatient will give you the tools you need to deal with life's difficulties without resorting to alcohol.

Things can seem helpless with your kids, right now, but the window of "now" is very narrow. The window of "future" is wide and you are going to be their father your whole life. Best to be sober for it.

Never give up on yourself badger. It can and will get better.
I did inpatient treatment. It helped pretty much all aspects of my life. I have remained sober since I graduated in Feb.
You can do this my friend

Best of luck Badger - that's a brave step. Go in with open eyes and ears...the tools you need are already inside you - you just need to learn how to use them. Hope you can stay in touch while you are in treatment, but if no we'll be here when you get out.
