no job
Have you thought of a recruiter or a temp agency? They are good places to start looking. Especially a temp agency bc many times they have temp to permanent positions. If you need resume assistance, there are really good templates online. Good luck to you littlesongbird! Research basic interview questions online and come up with answers and use all interviews as practice. The more you go to, the easier it will be to sell your skill sets.

Boy, can I relate songbird.
I'm 33 as well. I have a B.S. in psychology, but no related job experience. All my jobs have been in call centers or administrative positions.
I lost my job due to my addiction last December and it took me nearly 3 months to find another one. That was partly due to the fact that I didn't hit the pavement as hard as I should have. So if I could give any advice, it would be to get out and go to prospective employers face-to-face and inquire about jobs. Even when you don't want to. Trust me, I know how it feels to just not want to even leave the house. But when I forced myself to do it I felt better.
I don't have a "real" job now (though I'm starting a better job soon), just a little cashiering position, but I'm grateful that I got any job at all. Don't be picky. Take what you can get and continue looking for something that better suits you.
Good luck!

Hi KittenMittens. I relate to you too. I have a B.A. in English and my previous work experience is administrative and I last worked in a Call Center as well. I got that job thru a temp agency. I went back to the agency but did not hear back from them. I have not been looking as hard as I should have either. I wanted to take a break. Also, I am a really shy and quiet person - so that just makes it so much harder for me to do.
