Hubbys friend came over and he always brings beer. Not my drink but i used to always drink with him, and hubby sometimes does sometimes not.
I immediately wanted to drink when he got here. Still do. So I'm posting. I have a headache and want to go to sleep,but have to put son to bed.

Put some other safe beverage in your hand. Seems like a bunch of it is just the physical habit of having something in our hands to drink...I call it the Placebo Effect.

Hopefully he'll take it back home with him, but dump it right away if he doesn't. Sounds like your husband is a take it or leave it drinker, which is a big help in keeping your house alcohol free.

I totally understand. My husband will often have a beer with our neighbors if they stop by. I've learned to keep flavored seltzers stocked in my fridge and feel it helps to have a fizzy drink with them. If I get too uncomfortable, I excuse myself and put on a movie in another room. It's tough and feel your pain.
