SO uncomfortable

Hello, all. Today marks two weeks of sobriety from herb. My ears are ringing and my head is floating a few inches above my neck. I feel detached and icky, restless and tired. Also, a wee bit nauseated and, well, to tell it straight, I feel high, but I am stone cold sober. How long does it _generally_ take for the body to adjust and to achieve equilibrium?

DG- welcome. It takes a while- weeks. The detox part is 5 or so days. Remember HALTS- if hungry, angry, lonely, tired, thirsty or sad- fix it. If you feel really crap- go see a doctor- I suggest. Keep posting, support to you, PJ.

Daf,

Good to know weed causes withdrawal issues.

Did not know that.

Was considering trying pot once I retired.

Think I will pass.

Thanks.

I used to smoke a lot daily for about 10 years. I remember when I quit a few years back I felt the same, almost like I was disconnected from myself. Took about a week and I started feeling better. You got this! It will go away

I don't have experience with this, but I do believe that you will feel better soon. Stay firm in your resolve and keep reading and posting.

I am on another site that is more of a pot addiction forum. I developed that habit as a crutch when I quit alcohol. I am now 2 months off weed. You can get PAWS for a significant amount of time after quitting. I am still experiencing it and there are many people on the forum that experience it for a year or more. Symptoms include depression, mood swings, concentration issues, ringing in ears.... the good news is that your body and mind does heal. However, It can take much longer than you would think since It is generally portrayed as harmless. Much like I saw it when I first started.

I don't know the answer to that, but want to welcome you to the SR family. We have a marijuana-specific forum you might make use of.

Congrats on two weeks clean.

Hi and welcome Daffiodil Girl

I smoked weed daily, or near enough, for 30 years. After the first 10 days or so I felt OK.

I can't say I had those symptoms tho - I was a little light headed, but more irritable unenthused and sweaty than anything else.

Have you been checked out at the Dr any time recently?

D
