Hey guys back at work today another sober day the target

I'm busy which is good, trying not to just be busy for the sake of it though

I recognise there will be downtime as well as busy time and I'm preparing for that by thinking of ways to fill it

I feel like crap but I'm sober, which is the main thing

My mum has arranged to meet my girlfriend on Wednesday for a chat about what is to be done next

Staying sober is really my only target at present. That's where the focus has to be

You've got that right on Stewy - tape that to your fridge or write it on the back of your hand if you have to!

Well done Stewy. What are your danger times? Plan for them by not getting hungry, thirsty or too tired.

Danger time is evening when I'm free, luckily I'm at band practice tonight which requires me to drive and it finishes late

Another danger time is when the weather is hot- it's a trigger like when you see people sat outside pubs etc, it all looks so ridiculously normal to drink when it's like that- not for me though

Out of the HALT lonely is a big one for me that I need to work on. I've always retreated to solitude but it's no longer an option

Sober day today continuing, at work now, brain is now moved by back to the junk food as a way of compensating for the loss of the beer

This was where I was a few weeks ago, still got work to do here guys

I'm sober though and at work and able to drive my car without fear of being caught under the influence. Plenty to be grateful for

It's ok Stewy your not drinking and that is super positive congrats on that its no small feat

As for junk food don't beat yourself up .. if you want you can come get yourself into shape with me & all the people in the road to summer thread when your ready no pressure - we all help each other along sharing our success

I'm currently on a Ketogenic diet which means very low to 0 Carbs but I've learnt to hack the **** out of it and made it look easy well to me anyway

After 2 weeks the body adjusts - Let me know if your interested or come pass through the thread & see what we do

Good job Stewy your doing well

stewy, with all that you have been through with this girlfriend, Im not sure what you would consider how all goes well, but imo it is best if you have absolutely no expectations and make recovery your #1 priority.
girlfriend or not, you can recover.
and having a girlfriend sure hasn't helped you recover.

I understand the need for junk food, initially. Sweets were my go-to.

Try to incorporate a bit of healthy food into your diet, Stewy. Bit by bit your diet could start to improve.
