Thumbs up Day 8 and exhausted...

...because my husband and I went on a 3 hour hike yesterday with about 16 pounds each in our backpacks! (We are training for some longer hikes this summer.) It is nice to be completely tired and worn out because I exercised rather than because I drank myself into a stupor.

That sounds awesome! I am going to do a cycle class this evening. I am back on Day One, and I hope a vigorous workout will help some.

Very cool! I love hiking, but didn't enjoy it very much when I was hungover all the time. Congrats to you on day 9!

Good for you Pippo and congrats on going into your 2nd week of sobriety.

Exercise helps me a lot too. In fact, I should be doing some now but my cell died and I need music to enjoy my power walks. So, just waiting until it's fully charged.

I love the feeling of having had a good workout. A switch is flipped, my attitude changes, negative thoughts turn into positive and I feel as thought I can concur anything.

Congrats again...make it a great day!

Yes, exercise is key! That's one of the things I never kept up on regularly during my last stint of sobriety. BIG mistake on my part! I am going to learn from my actions this time around.

Well Done! I've never been a hiker, but exercise and nature is some of the best medicine out there...and its free.

I'm glad you're doing well, Pippo. I just got in from a 3 mile walk, myself.
