2 weeks sober

Hi everyone. Yesterday I hit my 2 week mark of sobriety. I relapsed again right before Christmas and it has taken me all this time to get out of that cycle. And no, this is not my first relapse. I got on here to connect with others struggling like me so...hi!

I'm not sure I ever had a relapse, I just quit a bunch of times..

Just Kidding.

Congratulations on two weeks, they're tough. Now it becomes easier by the day. Like a bad vacation in the rear view mirror.

And that is funny about not relapsing but instead, quitting a bunch of times. That sounds much better...lol!

Thank you everyone!! Luckily I haven't craved any alcohol but my feelings and physical being are up and down alot right now so it's been a pain dealing with it. Makes me mad sometimes that I wouldn't be dealing with this roller coaster if I would have just stayed sober the last time.

Every time I relapsed I ended up learning yet another particular lesson in why I had failed.

How many times did we try riding a bike before we finally sailed away?

Well said!! I try to pinpoint what my trigger was and try to avoid it. Sometimes I end up not really knowing what made me fall off the wagon.
