SR got me through many days and nights in the early period.

It's important to acknowledge our discomfort.

Discomfort is not fun, but it's not impossible to get through either - especially with support.

Everytime you do 'get through' next time promises to be a little less hard going

Everyone

Thank you, still have palpitations, which is scary, for the doctors today, again. X

Posting here is a good start. Also keep in your mind that feeling of hell that the booze has caused you this past few days, and that's right back where you will be again (and possibly worse) if you drink again.

Post, go to a meeting daily, go to SMART, see a doc, journal, remember HALTS. Walk, post here even when you do not want to. Then post again.

The first few days are always the hardest. It has become routine to grab a bottle, yeah? Make a new routine. Thoughts and feelings pass. It is only when we act on those thoughts or feelings that can make or break a situation.

You can do this!
