Its Been 2 Years

Since the very first time I told myself no. It was a Sunday. 4/12/15 had to be different. 4/11/15 was a bender and I was so disappointed.

The withdrawls were only slight at this time. Urges and slight insomnia was all. On 4/12/15 I didnt quit. I was right back at a few days later. I started posting here on 4/21/15 and kept drinking and binging.

Kindling set in and it was sheer hell through the rest of 2015 and most of 2016 until I quit in August. For anyone just realizing you have a problem please quit now. Kindling is real and it gets really bad.

243 days and doing pretty dang good!

Glad you are here! Great going on your sober time. You're right- it gets harder and harder to stop and it does get better and better the longer you are sober.

I dealt w kindling several times and didn't even know it.

My last and final bout left me on the mental ropes for over a year.

Thank God I had mostly peace of mind, but every day I suffered.

Curious about your experience, in a nut shell.

Its now been 2 years since my first post here on SR. Friday afternoons can still be tuff. They were what I looked forward to for a long time. I guess I was kind of rewarding myself for 4 days sober.

250 days today. Hope you guys are all doing great.
