One week sober
Today I am 7 days sober. It's a pretty mixed bag emotionally, but can't remember the last time I have felt this great. I have come to the realization that I can never have a drink again. Have been staying away from delving into my past mistakes as of yet. I'm pretty worried that will put me in a bad mindset, although I know in time I will need to face them. I am so focused on my sobriety, that I don't even feel like I have the time to do so yet. I hope to find some camaraderie on here.
Ben,
Only on day 12 myself. I too have come to the realisation that I can never drink again.
It's not that bad really! I can't remember any time when drinking did me a favour so I'm pleased to wave it goodbye.
Saturday night in the UK. Been a bit boring in front of the TV without zombifying my brain. But I would rather be bored than not remember what I did, said, watched or ate the night before.

That's what I thought, went and got a good pair of running shoes this morning. After only a week, I can already feel a ton of energy in my body, though my mind still feels a bit sluggish
