Yeah I had a few in my first weeks after quitting, they were quite distressing at the time. I just worried myself until I was so agitated that I started shaking and was very cold and couldn't get warm again. I don't have any advice except for giving it time. My anxiety is all but gone now. I didn't realize that it was solely caused by drinking.

Congratulations on Day 12. I think panic attacks are fairly common. There are breathing techniques you can learn that help a lot, too:

Amen, Daniel Change Your Brain, Change Your Life

Bassett, Lucinda From Panic to Power

Burns, David MD When Panic Attacks

Chodron, Pema The Places That Scare You

Doidge, Norman MD The Brain That Changes Itself

Dyer, Wayne The Power of Intention and Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life

Orsilla, Ken Mindful way Through Anxiety

Oh Soberwolf, how have I never heard of the 478 exercise?!?!?!

I'm definitely going to start using that to help with sleep and cravings specifically but from what I saw, this has so many benefits.

Thanks for sharing that!

I am on day 14 and experience about one or two anxiety attacks a day....when I get them my heartbeat goes completely out of whack and I panic even more. For me, the breathing helps and also telling myself that I am fine!!
