Day 3 and went to see Doctor

I met with my doctor this morning, and she was so kind and helpful. She thanked me for coming in to talk to her, and had lots of good information for me. She recommends me to an individual counselor, and also I go back to see her once a week. She prescribed Baclofen to be taken 3 times a day for cravings. If that doesn't help after a week or so, she will switch me to Naltrexone.
Anyone used Baclofen for stopping drinking before?
I have had some strong cravings and headaches today, but I am hopeful and feeling ok for now.

Right on! I'm originally from North Carolina, but I have been in Oregon for years and I love it here!

Good work Bronzie. Glad you managed to go and talk honestly with your doctor.
I'm so pleased that things are feeling more hopeful after your horrible start to the week. X

Way to go kiddo!!! Now you're thinking with your head instead of letting the bottle do it for you. Keep going.

Naltrexone made me feel like utter crap after only taking it one day. I'm not sure I can stick with it, I'd be interested to know how you do on the Baclofen.

So far the Baclofen does seem to be helping with the cravings and anxiety, but it's only been about a week and a half, and I'm on a low dose, 30mg/day. So far so good.
