Angry Hello everyone

I am michaelrelapse, formerly mikefreak. I quit drinking on my own and was sober for nearly three years. I let work pressures get to me, and I relapsed. six years later I've gotten married, got divorced after only two years . She was a wonderful woman who could not take my drinking. I spent half a year in jail. I live on a VA disability here in Albuquerque, and drink when I get enough money to do so. I WANT MY SOBERITYBACK. I got complacent with my soberity, wouldn't listen, thought I knew it all. I will listen this time, and come back with a humble attitude. Thanks.

Do you have access to a VA mental health clinic? I have found my VA Clinic to be very helpful. Currently doing a group there, and they also prescribed medication that I found very helpful.

Welcome back. Wishing you the very best in getting sober again. I hope I can do the same. Keep posting here and get working on a plan and some tools to help you along the way!

I quit drinking on my own once, and was sober for 5 1/2 years. Then I relapsed.

After that, I found that I just could not get, and stay sober, for more than a couple of weeks.

I finally gave up, and tried AA. That made the difference for me, perhaps it would for you?
