Hi,
I'm here watching the snow fall, and packing to go to my nephews wedding in Jamaica. I leave on a Wednesday. It's a nice feeling to realize there isn't going to be anyone yelling at me, and telling me I shouldn't be going, my AH.
And yes, unfortunately he still legally is my husband!
I was hoping I'd have heard from the court by now with a decision. It'll be 4 weeks on Tuesday. I do know though, I'm 4 weeks closer to knowing what's going to happen to me financially, and being divorced! Both, very positive things!!
Letting go of my old life and starting to create a new one for myself hasn't been easy! I can tell you, it truly has been an adventure!!!! A great adventure that continues to unfold.
Parts of me still hold onto the sadness for my AH, and the life that could have been, but no longer feel it should have been.
That sadness is no longer consuming me, although it will always be a part of me.
For the first time in a very long time, I'm looking forward to things!
Life certainly not perfect, but it's better than it's been in a very long time!
