Actually, the two weeks will be this afternoon, but I will be sleeping then, as this is my weekend of night shifts. Congratulations to me - I don't share my progress with anyone in my day to day life. An ex-family member used to brag on his 2-3 days at a time and then always relapsed, so I don't want to jinx myself. My wife of course knows, and I have a couple of very close pals that know, but other than that it's you on SR that I want to share my good news with.

Earlier this week I thought I was going to drink - nothing bad was going on in my life; in fact it was the opposite. Everything was great and I wanted to celebrate by myself. I was just about out the door to the liquor store when my wife came home from work because she forgot something. That stopped me in my tracks and caused me to reassess things.

After she went back to work, I got on here and read a couple of very good articles and forum posts until I felt right again. Cracked open a flavored seltzer and a bag of popcorn and watched a "guy movie."

Celebrate ? Hell yes I did :-)

Good on you, gg1965. Where would we be without those 'saviour' moments in our lives? Can you imagine that right now you'd have been back at day 0 or 1? Congrats on the 2 weeks!!!! Hold on to that.
