What an incredible lot of ladies you are

I just want to say thanks to you all. I am so grateful for the wealth of experience I have had to draw strength from. I would never have seen the light of it wasn't for all of you special people.i certainly wouldn't have got through the past 4 weeks without your words of encouragement and brutal honesty.

My counsellor asked me this evening ' what do you want?' I couldn't answer then because I haven't thought about what I really want in the last 12 years

I can answer now;
I want to get better
I want a healthier life for myself and my daughter
I want to be free of someone else's restrictions and dictation in my life
I want to be like you ladies, the ones that made it.
I want to stick around and help others who are discovering their 'wants' for the first time.
I don't know what's ahead but I know it's better.
Thank you for not just recovering and running off to live your lives forgetting about us who still suffer
I salute you all. None of your experiences or suggestions were taken for granted by me
I fed on them at my lowest
And soar on themat my highest
Thank you all you beautiful, courageous, funny, strong, wonderful women
You give me hope that sun will shine again upon me
And that I can unstrap myself from this clinging, binding and torturous situation
Because you were you
I'm now finding me
Thank you

I'll agree that we are pretty incredible as a bunch, but we are decidedly NOT all "ladies" (even those of us who are female, lol). We have plenty of guys here who are just as awesome--thank goodness!

I have felt that way too! I'm not sure I could have gotten through the hard times without the support of this group of very wise people (though admittedly I always assume all are ladies?? lol)

We never forget what happened to us or
where we came from and what got us here
into recovery life or living a life in recovery.

There were/are so many who had/have
found success for their own addiction
incorporating tools and knowledge of
recovery program that sat in meetings
a many a days passing on their own ESH-
experiences, strengths and hopes of what
their lives were/are life before, during and
after alcohol/drugs with us so freely that
we in turn want to freely give back to those/
you looking for help and answers for their/your
own addiction and recovery.

And you know what???? It doesn't cost a thing.

Where else can you go to take your daily
recovery medicine without it costing so
much?

I'm glad you tapped into a priceless recovery
tool (SR)to help you build your own strong, solid
recovery foundation to live upon for yrs down
the road.
