I spent 14 years drunk almost everyday. You will find awesome people here that have a wealth of experience and knowledge. We all kind of look after each other. How can we help you😀

You don't have to be in that downward spiral. You can learn so much here about making a plan, AA, and many other programs that may help you

I really had to sit down and make a plan of how I would handle the first few days. For me it was a series of little things. Having structured meal times really helped. Kept a big jug of tea in the frig so I could have a glass of something in my hand. Got rid of all the alcohol in the house. The biggest thing for me was I would always drink after work so after dinner it was sit down and read and post on SR. There is a stories of recovery forum that really helped and gave me hope.

Just jump on here and start typing if need be. We all understand and have been where you are

Welcome to SR! I'm currently on day 3 and have found the people here an immense help. I've literally been logged in all weekend reading through every thread I can. It helps so much knowing you're not alone.

You are not alone, I am scared of failing. I keep reminding myself of how much I want to be sober, I want my life back. and that has kept me on track.
