with drawal symptoms
just stopped drinking after many years of heavy drinking. Prior to that 20 years sober and did a road test called controlled drinking. Worked at first but-----right back to 40 years ago.
So now i have stopped.. A A does not work for me for a lot of reasons . Went 4 years but got tired of hearing the same old drunk-a-logs that did me no good
So now that i have cold turkeed I wake up in the morning feeling as bad as when i had a hang over---head dizzy and sometimes ache, stuffed up nasal passages
I know there are symptoms of alcohol with drawl. what are they
also under stand there are two pills that reduce craving

Here is a site that discusses withdrawal symptoms/timeline.

I would highly recommend going to see your doctor or a medical pro before quitting cold turkey.

Withdrawals from alcohol can be unpredictable and dangerous so it's always a good idea to talk to your dr if you're concerned about symptoms.
I'm glad you have decided to stop drinking.

Hi Fawnsloft - there are many links like the one posted above with generic guidelines but no one outside of your Dr or those who know your clinical history & general health will really know how withdrawal might affect you.
If you're concerned please check with your Dr - you can ask them about appropriate meds for yourself then?
