TOPIC: Passing ESH On To Others
TOPIC: Passing ESH On To Others
Passing on some ESH experiences, strengths
and hopes to anyone looking for help in
learning how to remain sober each day with
whatever method you find that works.
Below is what has worked for me.
I shared this in secular forum and didn't
want to throw this post away or delete it
for there maybe something useful to help
another so I brought it here for all.
Changes have to occur if you/we want to
be successful in recovery and remain sober
each day.
I found sobriety and recovery using the AA
program of recovery taught to me in rehab
some 26 yrs ago and still continue to incorporate
the steps as my guideline today.
Admitting I have an addiction to alcohol
was a first step. Then to accept that fact
and believe that I need help and that I
cant remain sober alone without help.
What I use to do in my everyday life
I had to make changes. Changes in habit.
Changes with friends that love to drink
knowing I cant hang with them because
the temptation is too great.
Going to bars and clubs where alcohol
flows freely was and still is a no no for me.
For someone who has an allergy to alcohol,
just like it if I was allergic to shellfish or
strawberries, or nuts, they are harmful
to me and could kill me.
For me, I wanted to be sober more so
than anything and would and still will
do whatever I need to do to maintain
my sobriety, my health and happiness.
No one has to go thru learning how to
remain sober alone or by themselves.
sticking with other who are sober and
we have found success in recovery will
be the support behind you guiding you
each day as you move forward building
a strong solid recovery foundation to live
your life upon for many days sober ahead
of you.
If you don't know what to do, ask us here in SR
or call a friend who is in recovery nearby
to you. Those folks you will find in meetings
or a relative or friend who is successful living sober
or clean.
Grab a hold of their coattails and allow them
to guide you each step of the way until you
are strong enough to stand on your own.
Never give up and keep coming back.

Thanks guys.
Sometimes I find myself taking time to
type passionate important recovery thoughts
here in SR, passing on many important tools
and knowledge about recovery taught to me
yrs ago and have learned over the yrs to the
newcomer or those struggling with addiction
and looking for suggestions and guidance but
don't know which forum to write in, but just
pick or choose one, and for me, I just want to
help, then accidently share in the wrong
forum to find it moved, deleted, disappears
or sent into limbo. ......
That's internet in todays age and time.
Nothing like going to a real, face to face
recovery meetings held all over the world,
everyday, anytime, etc. and you can walk
in, share on the topic, share what's on your
mind, share something looking for help,
suggestions, guidance ....anything without
it being deleted or removed what was shared or
said out of the room.
You know what I mean?
All of us either learning about recovery,
are just maintaining recovery have some
little something important that wants to
be heard or wants to share either to help
themselves or help another.
Anyway, If you have spent an hour typing
something that is passionate or important
and don't know where to put it, you are always
welcome to share it with me in whatever
thread ive started or PM me.
You never have to lose what you spend so
much time typing to say here with me. Those
words of wisdom are too important to delete,
dismiss or thrown into the unknown of cyberspace.
So if ive written something and you saw it
or read it, then went back to find it gone, then
ill put it here so you wont think your going
crazy.
