I believe I mentioned this awhile back, but I am finally able to give back a little bit to people looking for sobriety. A friend of mine had elevated liver enzymes and it scared the heck out of him. He's a pilot and if he loses his medical, his career is over. He was also concerned about diabetes. He tells me he was drinking pretty heavy and knew I had some issues in the past. So I have been calling him about once a week and we talk about how he is doing and what his challenges are. His biggest challenge right now is a very common one...routine/habit and some cravings.

I find a certain level of satisfaction is being able to help someone else. It's also reassuring to hear someone going through the exact same things I went through. Anyway, thought I'd share.

ps. as an aside, I noticed the other day that my skin tone has changed and actually looks nice or normal. I used to have different shades of pink under my eyes, nose, maybe my ears etc.....My whole face is the same color. I think that is how its supposed to look.

That's great ! Awesome that you can help out a friend. Also, glad to hear your skin tone is back to normal. My face is blotchy red still, looking forward to that going away.
