The beauty of sobriety
I received an E-mail titled Thoughts By 'Ducky'. Very creative I thought. I wanted to post TBD to my face book page but not without identifying the author. Us sober people defy the laws of magnetism in that likes attract.
On 5/14/2016 I celebrated thirty-eight years of continuous sobriety, so it only seems natural I'd stumble into this site, and for this I am grateful. My oldest son once asked, "What law did you break the most before you got sober?" Without hesitation I answered, "gravity."
My net name is David Saailer.
If you are new to AA grab onto a sponsor, someone with years of sobriety. Don't take the first drink and go to meetings. If you work the twelve steps so they become a part of you, life will become so great you my not be able to stand it.....It is the first drink we do not take....Walk slow and drink lots of water....David

38 years. Wow. That's an inspiration to everyone.
Congratulations.
Any tips, pointers, insights, that in your opinion were not negotiable in terms of maintaining sobriety, please?
