Starting over again
Hi! I'm new to the forum.
This is my second time in recovery. I have thirteen days and I'm pretty excited.
The first time was in 2008 after rehab and I made it 90 days.
After struggling for a long time arguing with myself if I were really an alcoholic or not, it was obvious I am. I'm done with letting it control my life.
I'm very thankful that this group is here.
Michelle

My mom went into the hospital, so I found an excuse to relapse shortly after this posting. Sigh
I've made an appointment just today on my lunch to get into psychiatric and outpatient substance abuse help. I'm going to need someone to hold my hand for a little bit.

Glad you're back on the wagon with us Michelle! 8 days is great.
I hope your Mum is ok?
I check in here each morning and each night, also during the day if I need to.
Keep posting, reach out if things are tough...even if they're not! we are here for you

Thank you!
She's doing alright, she's in a skilled nursing facility at the moment while she recovers from surgery.
So day 9! I want to make it a habit to check/read the forum more. At the moment I think of it when I'm bored at work. But I should think of it when I'm bored at home which is when I get urges.
