I've locked myself away
For the past 2 weeks, ive been on a binge. I cannot do this anymore. My heart is racing just from waking up. I do not want to drink. I haven't gone to work, I'm so embarrassed. But I feel like I need help from a hospital in order to stop drinking. Gallons of whiskey have been through me, I stopped caring about my personal appearance. I don't know what to do
You have made a great start by even coming here and posting! I think we all know what we "need" to do. But it is a struggle getting there. I am still early on this latest attempt, but don't ever give up fighting. You CAN beat this!
You made it this far - one day at a time.
I would suggest looking into an inpatient treatment if you are thinking that would be a better fit for you. I would definitely try and look around online into treatment places. Some take certain insurances and some are straight out of the pocket.

I'm not the expert on this. But I do know that a two week binge will probably mean withdrawal. Hopefully others here will know what to suggest. A hospital might be the best place...tapering never worked for me, and cold turkey has its own complications as well.

Right, this is the problem with tapering as a concept, once we've lost our "off switch".
In your original post, you mention a hospital. Please do go to hospital, let them put you in detox. Maybe from there an inpatient recovery program. But please, please get the immediate help you need to detox. Very very important.

A few years ago. I would go on binges, I had a seizure because of withdrawal. I went into in patient rehab. I feel like it's time again. You all are so nice and I'm convinced I need to detox and goto the hospital. I wanna start a new life today.
If you have previously had seizures b/c of it...the hospital is Vital for you to go to. Your new life begins today!

My fear of admitting to health professionals kept me drinking until I was nearly dead - they were so understanding, scooped me up and detoxed me safely. Please see someone - can someone go with you? My brother took me, I was so ashamed to admit it to him but he loves me and helped me.
I've been where you are, missing work, panicking, passing out and waking up to drink more.
You can do it, ask for help.

Everything you describe sounds pretty typical for me, during a serious binge. Detoxing on your own can not only be emotionally and physically difficult, it can, as you mentioned, dangerous. You are panicky and filled with anxiety right now, but try to calmly assess your situation and if you feel you need to, get medical help and be totally honest with them about needing help to detox.

I think giving her a call would be a great idea. From there I think giving the local hospital would be next to see what they can do to get you checked into a detox facility and from there into rehab.

Sinkingfeeling9, go to your Doctor as soon as possible. Don't stop by yourself because you could have a seizure. 3 weeks ago I finished my week of binging...drinking from morning til I passed out. I did awful things and decided that I was too scared to continue. My doctor helped me. The next steps will follow.
Doctor can give you medication to cope with the withdraw and refer you to a specialist service. Try it. You have nothing to loose. Do you?

I'm gonna agree with the consensus here sinking feeling - go get checked out by the Dr. Scary or not, it's the sensible thing to do.
If you think it's time for rehab you could mention that too ?they may be able to help
