So I've been sober 1 year starting this week. From health changes, getting right with God and others, going to Celebrate recovery at my church, forgiving, making amends, loving the wife and kids, snowboarding, fishing, and some dark chocolate it's been a great year. I haven't posted in a long time but wanted to share my story to show those struggling that there is hope. It takes faith and courage. It takes the will to change. It takes intent. It takes many wise choices. But if nothing changes, nothing changes. Hope you all have a great night and don't give up. It took me years to change. I can't say I miss alcohol or drugs at all. Im tires of feeling like myself at times but it is what it is and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I have a sweet job that has some challenges but I'll deal with them day by day. Have a good night everyone.
