Valentines Day
I know Valentines Day can be especially difficult for those of us here on SR. Remember, love comes in different forms, shapes, and sizes. A lot of us struggle with not receiving the kind of love from whom we desperately want it. But, we are truly blessed for all of the genuine love and care we can come to SR and receive. I am thankful for you ALL.

Thank you Hope, and Happy Valentines Day to you too.
I heard some children being interviewed on the news this morning, asked what Valentines Day meant to them. I was surprised to hear several of them say something along the line of "It's a day where we remember to love everyone and give extra kindness to others" or "We share our hearts with our friends and schoolmates and let them know that we love them."
We could learn from those kids, God bless the child.

I'm not a fan of the holiday. My fiancée and I celebrated it this past Saturday, and we had a ball. But I always come back to what happens the other 364 days out of the year.
Before we can love someone else, we have to love ourselves. And sometimes that means we have to detach ourselves from someone we love but who is killing us a little bit at a time each day. That isn't easy. Sometimes loving ourselves isn't easy, too. But it's like anything else: you have to practice it...
