37 Days
Hi all. Wasn't going to post tonight. Long day of work and then did a lot around the house. Just wanted to say that I am 37 days sober today! I haven't been sober for long, but I'm taking it one day at a time and trying to do what I can to help everyone here. It ain't easy traveling through the desert...
I know it's not a special number in any shape or form, but I feel pretty damn good about making it this far -- almost a month and a half. For years, the best I could do was go three weeks. Now things are different.
It may be early, but noticing a ton of really great things cropping up. Thinking much more clearly, more energy, less stomach issues, more full flavors/tastes, better sense of smell, more money, better work performance, reading again, less depressed and I can look at myself in the mirror and not hate myself for drinking myself stupid every night!
