OT: Motorcycle Music for firebolt
OT: Motorcycle Music for firebolt
Since I found out that firebolt has bought the Bike of Her Dreams (well, one of them, anyway!), I've been thinking about how to celebrate this. I came up w/the idea of making a "motorcycle music" thread, thinking it might be fun. Please jump right in; let's give firebolt something to listen to while she waits for that bike to arrive!
This one would HAVE to be included:

And then there's Jimi Hendrix doing Ezy Rider, pretty much mandatory too I think (can't embed, as it's Vimeo and not YouTube):

And even though this features pics of cars and not motorcycles, I think the idea is still valid:

Aww - thanks Honeypig!! I'll have to make an ipod playlist for when I ride of all of these!!
Although I don't LOVE Harleys, I've always loved this one:

I just got the pic of it leaving its home in TN, on its way to me TODAY!!

Aww - I'm loving these! The 2 weeks transit time is feeling like it's going to take 10 years to get here. I'm back and forth between the Bike truck tracker, and the weather tracker...we'll see if they can join forces somewhat so I can get a day of arrival test ride!
I'm a little late to this one but I've been compiling a list in my head.
I think you all covered a lot of the obvious ones, so I dug into those that lyrically, to me, represent that freedom of the Open Road & Life Decisions & how this is all about the Journey & not the destination. Songs about change, growth, empowerment of all sorts.
And definitely, my taste in tunes is a bit heavier than what most of you have posted so take it with a grain of salt.....
I think I'd have to open with a little Hammer of the Gods- Immigrant Song, Led Zeppelin.
Poem, by Taproot (This song is a poem to myself.......)
Maybe, by Sick Puppies (Maybe it's time to change - Leave it all behind? I've never been one to walk alone - always too scared to try..... so why does it feel so wrong to reach for something more, to want to live a better life? What am I waiting for? - maybe it's time to change?)
both Drive AND Pardon Me, by Incubus. Drive is obvious but "pardon me, while I burst into flames"..... that's YOU FireGirl!
No Scrubs, by TLC (& Kandi Burress) - because, well, yeah, a scrub is a guy that can't get no love from me.....
NO, by Meghan Trainer. Kinda speaks for itself, I think.
Thank You, Alanis Morissette - one of the best songs about gratitude ever written, IMO.
Katy Perry's ROAR.......
Put Your Records On, by Corinne Bailey Rae (go ahead, let your hair down....)
Not Afraid, Eminem (I'm not afraid/to take a stand.... holler if you've been down this same road)
Times Like These, Foo Fighters (times like these, you learn to live again)
Jane Says - classic Jane's Addiction
State of Love and Trust - Pearl Jam
Power of Equality - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Bulls on Parade - a little Rage, 'cuz, well... no list is complete without a little Rage

Going to add this one b/c my sis and I used to love to play it on the way to century rides, back when we were doing a lot of bicycle riding--we especially loved near the end when Freddy would yell "Get on your bikes and ride!"
