Introduction... 3 days sober
Hi everyone... I've been trolling this site for a bit now and just decided to join. I have just begun my recovery journey. I first quit and started an AA program on January 2nd. I had 17 days sober. Then I (or the cunning, evil alcoholic mind) decided that I can control my drinking and limit it to only Friday. HAHAHA. Yup, and here I am as of 3 days ago going at it again (recovery I mean). I went to a meeting last night and have set out a plan of daily meetings and where to attend. I will be doing the 90 in 90 challenge. I know I've got this this time. My kids need me, my husband needs me, my family needs me to stick around. I'm not ready to die at only 34 years old and I know I do not have another relapse in me. I may not come out alive next time. So, there's a bit of my story. I look forward to being here and being a part of this page. Thanks for listening!
Welcome, and you've made a very good decision. I think it's actually easier to stop drinking completely than to try to control it. You will find lots of support here, so I hope you keep reading and posting.
Hello ICDT. Have you joined the 'class of feb, '17 thread?'. I am glad you are doing this for you first, then your family. I am glad you do not want to die. I did die. It sucked.
Prayers and good on you. Keep posting. PJ
