Day2 and thank you to all
Just wanted to say thank you to all that replied to me yesterday with support. I woke up yesterday extremely scared of myself, knowing that I could easily head into a binge that could last days and go back to screwing my life up a drink at a time. I was literally petrified of myself, but I came on here, and I posted and thanks to everyone here I got myself back in the control seat. My rational brain fired back up, and I didnt buy any alcohol, instead I stayed on here all day reading and reading.
Anyway, thank you, to each and every one of you. I felt so alone in my RL as felt to ashamed to tell anyone I failed and you all picked me up. I think the people here are going to be key and essential to my sober living and from today I vow to log on every single day without fail, and as soon as my AV rears its ugly head again, I'm posting about it, rather than trying to shut it up alone!

day 2 almost complete, no alcohol in the house, went to meet my mum, grandmother and a few other family members for lunch and had a diet coke whilst they drank wine. I took my car, so drinking wasn't an option and that way avoided anyone asking if I wanted a glass. I made sure I logged on before I went, I have also created a list on my phone of my goals and why I gave up alcohol that I plan to read if I'm caught out in a moment i haven't expected. The thread from yesterday as to the 10 things I don't miss about alcohol gave me something to think on and I wrote my own on my phone also for quick access when needing some quick perspective. I came home and got straight back on here as soon as I could and made a coffee, so I'm looing forward to hangover free day 3!
