Today is Day 100
Hi guys,
Today is day 100 for me. It has been a great decision. I actually feel "normal" again
Biggest benefits I have seen?
1) I feel ALOT better and anxiety has been greatly reduced
2) I feel that I am now IN CONTROL of life as opposed to feeling that Life was in control of me
3) Awesome workouts ( Lifting weights at 530am on a Sunday - only person at the gym - with Whitesnake shrieking on full blast is an awesome experience)
4) Mondays I actually get things done now
6) Facing the future with Hope instead of Fear (that by itself is worth a million $$)
Thanks to everyone for the support and I wish everyone the best with their own journey.

Great job making it to 100 days. I myself am at 98 days so I am right with you.
Yes my anxiety is now more manageable.
As far as control goes I found that wanting to be in control of everything was part of what made me drink so much. I drowned my pain of not having control with liquor. Acceptance is the answer - we can only control things that are in our control.
Again - great job.

Great job!
Ditto the comment about acceptance above- I am powerless over alcohol and God has control of my life now. When I try to take it back is when not-good things happen- and some of those (too many of them, say!) could lead to me choosing to drink again. Are you working a program? You have some good habits and are seeing results- what's the foundation for your sobriety? As a dedicated AA-er a plan of action is critical to me.
I saw a lot of things shift for the better around 100 days. And it keeps getting better.
Good luck!
